The sole purpose of the 1933 Goudey card of Hall of Famer Eddie Collins seems to be to gloat that the hometown Red Sox had lured the then-Athletics' coach to Boston, retaining him as vice president and business manager at the team.  The Boston-based gum company proudly announces "Boston's gain is Philadelphia's loss" on the card reverse.  Collins would, of course, remain in the Red Sox organization until his 1951 passing.
