Ira Flagstead batted .290 in 13 major league seasons, starring with the Red Sox of the early 1920s.  His baseball career ended in 1931, after which he retired to his hometown of Olympia, Washington, where he played amateur ball and raised game birds.  Sadly he became ill at the young age of 46, and passed away in early 1940.  This signed 1925 Exhibit card is extremely rare, the only example assessed by PSA/DNA, his signature applied lightly in black ink across his image.  The card presents extremely well, a very rare signed card of an underrated star, with some biographical information neatly written on the reverse in both pencil and ink.
