1905 postcard depicting the Springfield (Massachusetts) Ponies baseball team of the Connecticut State League. The photo pictures five players with eventual major league experience: Dave Altizer (who played six seasons with Washington, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Chicago), outfielder Fred Crolius (who played in 1901 with Boston and 1902 with Pittsburgh), first baseman Tom Crooke (who played 11 games with the 1909 and 1910 Washington Senators), Steamer Flanagan (who played with the 1905 Pirates), and catcher Paddy O'Connor (who played with Pittsburgh from 1908 through 1910, St. Louis in 1914, the Federal League Pittsburgh Rebels in 1915, and the 1918 Yankees).  FAIR condition, with surface wear and soiling, and light writing on both front and back.
