For our money, the 1957 Topps Frank Robinson is the most underrated of all Hall of Fame rookie cards. The only player to win the MVP in both leagues, Robinson was a Triple Crown winner who won the 1966 World Series MVP and who won Championships in both 1966 and 1970. He hit a monstrous 586 lifetime home runs - good for fourth on the list of career home runs upon his retirement. He then became the first Black major league manager.
Presented here is an attractive midgrade Robinson rookie, graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA. Light corner wear and a slight centering issue are the primary condition flaws on what is otherwise a crisp and colorful example.
