Complete set of 1960 Topps football cards, consigned from the collection of their original owner, who pulled the cards directly from packs in the year of issue.  The collector took good care of his cards, unlike many of us, though there are a few which have the player's uniform number written on the back.  This was a common practice for this collector in the late 1950s and early 1960s, with some of his sets including as many as half the cards marked in such a manner.  For some reason, however, very few of these cards are similarly marked.  As such, a condition breakdown of the set would be 3% NM, 13% EX/MT, 30% EX, 28% VG/EX, 18% VG, 4% G, and 4% Fair with the aforementioned writing.

A breakdown of the key cards would be as follows:  #1 Unitas VG/EX, #3 Moore (VG), #4 Berry (VG), #17 Jones (VG/EX), #25 Mitchell (VG), #48 Lary (EX/MT), #52 Taylor (NM), #54 Hornung (EX/MT), #56 Gregg (EX/MT), #57 Ringo (EX), #63 Matson (VG/EX), #74 Gifford (VG/EX), #77 Summerall (VG/EX), #78 Brown (EX), #80 Huff (VG), #81 Robustelli (VG), #87 Bednarik (VG/EX), #93 Layne (VG), #101 Stautner (VG), #113 Tittle (VG), #114 Perry (F - writing), #116 McElhenny (VG/EX), and #121 Nomellini (VG).  In addition, we submitted two keys to SGC for grading: #23 Jim Brown (SGC EX 5) and #51 Bart Starr (SGC EX+ 5.5).  The primary condition flaws within this set are related to light corner wear, as well as centering and print issues.  Fresh to the hobby, a clean and attractive set.  136 cards total.
