Outfielder Izzy Hoffman had a 15-season career in various minor leagues along with two cups of coffee in the majors - in 1904 with the Senators and 1907 with the Boston Doves. Pictured here on a particularly scarce and beautiful card type, the E136 Home Run Kisses cards were produced by the Collins-McCarthy Company of San Francisco and featured a sepia player photo set inside an ornate border. Since the cards were meant to be redeemed for "valuable premiums," they are very scarce today. This example has been graded POOR 1 by SGC with considerable wear to the corners and edges, along with some significant surface creasing. Still, a very difficult and desirable card type.
