Most famously known for revolutionizing the forward pass and invigorating the NFL in the process, class of 2005 Pro Football Hall of Famer Benny Friedman is pictured on the cover of this outstanding October 19, 1930 program. The program originates from a contest pitting the New York Football Giants against Philadelphia's Frankford Yellow Jackets at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan — where the Giants dismantled Frankford 53-0. Though they are separate franchises, after the Yellow Jackets folded in 1931 they were revived as the Philadelphia Eagles in 1933, even sporting uniforms reminiscent of the Yellow Jackets with the same powder blue and yellow color scheme.
Program displays beautifully despite a vertical crease throughout. Some wrinkling to bottom right corner of cover is present along with minor staining in that area and upper right corner. Small pencil notations are present on interior, otherwise pages are clean with no further blemishes of note.
