Collection of seven difficult-to-find miniature souvenir Louisville Slugger bats believed to have been given away or sold during the 1927 World Series. Bats bearing the facsimile signatures of Babe Ruth of the Yankees and Lloyd Waner of the Pirates represent the only players known to exist from this series. Seven of the Ruth bats in one auction is virtually unheard of, we have never encountered a collection this large (what's more, this is the same collection from which the pairs of Ruth/Waner bats that we sold in our last two auctions originated, so there were actually nine Ruth bats in this collection. Each present well, with telltale markings and signs of wear consistent with being owned by a youngster in the 1920s, including surface abrasions that partially or totally obscure the "World's Series 1927" stamping on the bat barrel. A desirable grouping of mementoes from the 1927 World Series.
