The second Philadelphia set to feature NFL players during the company's four-years issuing cards, these are very pleasing cards with a simple, elegant design featuring a full-color player photo inset inside a white border, the player's name, team affiliation and position in a black text box near the bottom, outside the image area, alongside the NFL logo.  Presented here is a very strong near-set of 180 very attractive, mostly mid to higher-grade cards.

A condition report on the set is as follows: 3% NM/MT, 13% NM, 35% EX/MT, 40% EX, 8% VG/EX, with 1% VG or lesser.  A good portion of the condition issues with the set relate to print defects such as centering, or due to light handling that results in very slight corner wear.  A breakdown of the key cards are as follows: #2 Berry (EX), 8 Moore (VG/EX), 10 Parker (EX), 12 Unitas (EX), 18 Atkins (EX/MT), 19 Ditka (SGC VG/EX+ 4.5), 41 Warfield (EX), 47 Lilly (EX/MT), 49 McDonald (NM), 53 Renfro (VG/EX - wax stain), 63 Lary (EX), 64 LeBeau (EX/MT), 73 Davis (EX), 75 Gregg (EX), 76 Hornung (EX/MT), 79 Nitschke (EX), 82 Taylor (EX), 89 Jones (VG/EX), 94 Olsen (EX), 105 Eller (EX?MT), 110 Tarkenton (EX/MT), 111 Tingelhoff (EX), 115 Brown (EX), 138 Ringo (EX), 188 Jurgensen (EX/MT), 189 Krause (EX/MT), 191 Mitchell (EX/MT), 195 Taylor (EX).  The Ditka card listed above, a scan of which is also provided, graded VG/EX+ due to what appears to be a wax stain on the surface that we missed when submitting.  There are examples of wax stains scattered throughout the set, which also reduces the technical grade of the cards.
