Though this 1933 Goudey Ruth carries an accurate technical grade of GOOD 2, as assessed by PSA, the card is extremely visually pleasing, with rich color and overall outstanding image quality. The technical grade is partially the result of a light wrinkle that begins at the center of the bottom edge and runs diagonally northeast toward Ruth's shoulder. The wrinkle does not break the surface of the paper. More difficult to see is a small spot of paper loss in Ruth's sleeve; the spot is partially obscured by a scuff and a tiny crack in the PSA holder that appears in the same area. Centering is to the extreme southwest of the canvas. Despite these small areas of wear, a tremendous example of this extremely popular card.
