Strong collection of Hall of Famers from the 1953 Topps issue.  These cards were found in a collection of 1950s cards owned by a family in the South.  In the interest of preserving the cards, many had been inserted forcefully into nine-pocket pages, which were obviously too small for the oversized Topps issue.  Since the family did not have enough pages to accommodate all their cards, some survived the resulting carnage, stored instead in semi-rigid top loaders.  These were submitted by us to SGC.  The collection includes the following:  1) SGC VG/EX+ 4.5 (4 cards): #27 Roy Campanella (HOF), #37 Ed Mathews (HOF), #76 Pee Wee Reese (HOF), #207 Whitey Ford (HOF); 2) SGC VG/EX 4 (1 card): #54 Bob Feller (HOF).  Five cards total.
