Exceptional first card of underrated Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Lemon, seven-time 20 game winner with a lifetime ERA of 3.23, who broke in as an outfielder for the Indians in 1941, returned to the minors in 1942, subsequently missed three seasons due to military service, and was converted to a pitcher in 1946, where he would compile a 13-year career.  Lemon excelled at the plate, batting .286 in 1947, with five home runs in 1948, seven in 1949, and six in 1950.  This example of his rookie card is clear and colorful, an attractive turquoise background offsetting the dark blue and red Indians cap.
