Interesting framed poster advertising U.S. Deck Paint featuring the "St. Louis 'Pepper-Pot '" Pepper Martin of the Cardinals. Framed to a finished size of 15" x 18" the piece features a black and white photo of Martin stealing a base in the 1931 World Series against the Athletics likely dating this piece to 1932. Colorful advertisement at the bottom of the piece promotes the indoor/outdoor paint. The piece exhibits some minor age-related discoloration and surface wear; the frame prevents us from examining the edges or reverse. Interestingly the wood frame is also vintage with an advertisement for Sundial Shoes printed in gold along the top of the frame. Sundial was a brand dating to the early 1950s. The frame is sturdy and attractive some age-related nicks and scratches here and there two eyelets screwed into the top of the frame for easy suspension from above.
