Extremely sharp and clean rookie card of Frank Robinson in our opinion the most underrated player ever to set foot on a Major League diamond. Robinson was the only player to win an MVP in each league also winning the Rookie of the Year in 1956. He slugged an astonishing 586 home runs ranking fourth on the all-time list at the time of his retirement. He batted .294 with just shy of 3 000 hits winning the 1966 Triple Crown. He was also the first Black manager in baseball winning the 1989 AL Manager of the Year with the 1989 Baltimore Orioles. The card is sharp and clean centered high on the canvas but otherwise strong. A very attractive example of one of the key cards in the 1957 Topps set.
