While similar in size (but square) and utilizing the same images as the E254 Colgan's Chips the cards commonly known as "Square Proofs" are not likely "proofs." In fact they are likely an issue unto themselves perhaps somehow related to the round Colgan's Chips issue. Some speculate that they may have been part of an advertising promotion since many are found with glue residue on the back. They are needless to say particularly rare with not all the cards in the checklist having been identified as actually being in existence. This example of Howie Camnitz has been graded PR 1 by SGD cue to overall wear and some creasing visible on the front with pencil writing on the reverse. Still it is the rarity of the card that lends its desirability.
