I have one to sell!
In 1911 the popular sports publication Sporting Life published a large set of popular baseball cards that we know today as the M116 Sporting Life issue. In addition to that set the company issued a six-card set of beautiful cabinet cards similar in size and design to the popular T3 Turkey Red cabinet cards but far more difficult to find. The cards which are incredibly rare today are among the more beautiful issues of its day. This example of Cleveland's Nap Lajoe is a spectacular card tie image of Lajoie crisp and bold. The borders exhibit significant wear including some surface abrasions that have resulted in small areas of paper loss. A few tiny edge tears are also evident as are some small corner creases and indentations to the paper each of which is factored into the grade of the card. The eye appeal is strong as despite the wear the card does exhibit strong color square corners and a sharp image. An exceptional highly-desirable example of Lajoie's card from this rare cabinet card issue.
