Outstanding panoramic team photo of the Pittsburgh Pirates dating to some point in the 1920s. Framed to a finished size of 38 1/2" x 11" the photo is undated isolated to the 1921-24 time frame due to the presence of Rabbit Maranville at the far left. Max Carey appears near the center of the photo Pie Traynor 11th from right. Kiki Cuyler may be just to Maranville's left though we cannot confirm. Lee Meadows appears fourth from left. We believe George Gibson appears in the center of the photo which would date it to 1921-22. A total of 29 players or coaches appear in the photo along with two mascots and two groundskeepers. Overall quality is FAIR with significant creasing throughout likely a result of being stored for an extended period in a roll. The creasing has broken the surface in places particularly on the right side of the photo but also in several areas on the left. Regardless an exceptional photo that displays very well housed in a modern frame from the excellent collection of Ted Patterson.
