Orioles hero Boog Powell was nearing the end of his legendary career by 1973 when the 31-year-old first baseman and outfielder would bat .265 in just 370 at bats with 11 home runs and 54 RBI. Shut down somewhat by a sore shoulder the fan favorite did lose some playing time only to regain it in 1975 when he was traded to Cleveland. Presented here is Powell's road jersey from that 1973 season a size 48 Wilson model. The jersey has been graded A7 by MEARS due to the nameplate having been removed as well as some wear to the neck of the jersey reducing the grade by three points. The jersey itself is quite attractive likely given by Powell to former Orioles broadcaster Ted Patterson the consignor of the jersey. An exceptional jersey from one of the most popular players in Orioles history.
