This extremely rare colorful felt pennant from the Briggs Stadium All-Star game in 1951 is simply beautiful with graphics of gold red and light blue set against a dark blue felt background and red reinforced edge. The result is extremely attractive a wonderfully elaborate presentation for a simple felt pennant. A host of graphics including a graphic representing the 250th anniversary of Detroit an image of Briggs Stadium itself and a multitude of stars all appear to the right of a scroll containing the names of the players and managers for each team. Filled with Hall of Famers players listed include Casey Stengel Yogi Berra Joe DiMaggio Larry Doby Nellie Fox George Kell Bob Lemon Ted Williams Richie Ashburn Roy Campanella Ralph Kiner Stan Musial Jackie Robinson Enos Slaughter and Warren Spahn. The blue felt has faded slightly made more visible by a darker circular area near the tip where a thumbtack once lived. Similar round indents and tackholes appear in the top and bottom of the red reinforcement. Otherwise very strong.
