Official scorecard and program from the 1923 World Series between the New York Yankees and New York Giants. The Yankees' first World Championship was won in six games this game appears to be scored from Game 1 which featured a ninth-inning inside-the-park home run by Casey Stengel that would prove to be the game-winner. The program is in POOR condition heavily folded vertically down the center with additional creasing and surface wear apparent separation and paper loss at the spine and significant water staining throughout. The center pages have come loose from the saddle-stitching and edge wear is evident throughout. Still this is a very difficult and desirable program featuring Hall of Fame managers John McGraw and Miller Huggins on the cover a document of the Yankees' first-ever World Championship.
