Please note the error in the title of this lot in our printed catalog - Babe Ruth did not hit a home run in this game. Colorful Wrigley Field ticket stub from Game 4 of the 1932 World Series - the deciding game and the final World Series game in Babe Ruth's career. A Yankees rout punctuated by two home runs from Tony Lazzeri and another from Earle Combs Ruth did collect one hit in five trips. Lazzeri was the hero of the day though with four RBI in five at bats. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA the stub is well-worn with considerable surface edge and corner wear along with some writing (the name "Albert Ward") in ink along the top edge and some stray ink marks on the reverse. Despite all the visible wear the ticket carries some significant historical importance being both the deciding game of the Yankees' fourth Championship and Ruth's last World Series game.
