Exceptional original newspaper dated July 5 1939 the day after Lou Gehrig Day at Yankee Stadium. The Gehrig Day speech is covered on the interior pages. The piece appears in EX condition though it should be noted that this paper was not likely circulated. Stitching on the spine gives the appearance that the publication was likely stitched into a large-format hardcover reference copy similar to the one we offered several years ago that was once the property of a library in Virginia (see https://loveofthegameauctions.com/LotDetail.aspx?inventoryid=10219 for more detail).
