I have one to sell!
After concluding his major league career at the close of the 1917 season Hall of Famer Sam Crawford moved west settling in Peco California and playing four seasons with the Los Angeles Angels batting .360 in 1919 and leading the league in hits ending his playing career after batting .318 in 1921. Presented here is one of two Zeenut PCL cards on which Crawford appeared his 1920 issue. Extremely scarce and desirable the card pictures Crawford in uniform the image of a stadium grandstand in the background. The card has been graded GOOD+ 2.5 by SGC light soiling and corner wear largely responsible for the grade. Surface dirt and mild staining is also evident on the reverse contributing to the technical grade but of little consequence. As is typically the case with Zeenut cards the coupon has been removed. The card is scarce enough that our research can only uncover two sales of a 1920 Crawford in the past five years. An extraordinary card one of the final playing days cards of the popular Hall of Famer.
