Strong Cleveland Indians official scorecard for a July 18 1937 game against the New York Yankees. The game which featured both Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio was won by the Yankees 5-1. DiMaggio hit his 24th home run of the season off Bob Feller and drove in all five Yankees runs as Hall of Famers Feller and Red Ruffing dueled on the mound. Gehrig was held hitless though he did draw two walks. The game has been scored in pencil with some notable soiling on the scorecard page along with a visible vertical fold down the center common with scorecards of this vintage. The original advertising paper insert (for a muiscal extravaganza featuring Johnny Weissmuller) is still folded into the inner pages. The game date is notated in pencil on the cover. An exceptional scorecard.
