Hall of Fame gold plaque signed by Pittsburgh third sacker Pie Traynor. The piece does exhibit some wear including a surface crease at the top third of the card. Traynor signed in blue ballpoint near the bottom of the card the ink skipping slightly. While a Traynor signature in general is not particularly scarce they are far more difficult to obtain on the gold HOF plaque postcards. It is theorized that the gold postcards were manufacturerd beginning in 1965 while Traynor passed away in 1972 leaving a brief window during which he could have signed the gold cards.
