Attractive Reach official AL baseball signed by 19 members of the 1946 Yankees. The baseball is clean with virtually no toning the signatures clear and legible. The signature of manager Joe McCarthy is a cliubhouse signature. Remaining names on the baseball include Harry Craft Joe DiMaggio (HOF) Ken Sears Joe Gordon (HOF) Charley Stanceu Tony Sabol Ken Silvestri Charlie Silvera Frank Hiller Rogger Ardizoia Eddie Bockman George Stirnweiss Joe Page. The signatures of McCarthy Red Rolfe Charlie Keller and Tommy Henrich have been deemed clubhouse by JSA. The baseball contains signatures of a number of interesting subjects including Ardizoia a member of the Kansas City Blues in 1942 who served in the Army Air Force from 1943 through the end of 1945 playing with the 7th Air Force baseball team. Ardizoia played just one single major league game in April of 1947 when he pitched in just one game giving up two runs in one inning. Also featured is Harry Craft who played with the Reds before being traded to the Yankees in 1043 but never played a game with the team - he entered the Navy in 1943 where he served until 1946 when he rejoined the Kansas City Boyes where he stayed through 1948. Though the LOA from JSA identifies the baseball as a 1943 World Champion baseball we feel it is far more likely that the ball was signed during Spring Training in 1946 when some minor leaguers like Ardizoia and Craft were still with the ballclub. There are several players on the baseball that did not play an inning with the 1943 Yankees but did play in 1946 such as Bockman Hiller Page Silvestri and Stanceau. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
