Grouping of three World Series ticket stubs from the 1940s. Collection includes: 1) 1942 World Series Game 2: Sportsman's Park ticket for Game 2 between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals a game won by St. Louis 4-3. Stub is in VG condition with pronounced wear and extra paper at all three perfs from irregular tears. 2) 1946 World Series Game 1: Attractive stub from the opening game of the World Series between the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals at Sportsman's Park. The Red Sox won this game in 10 innings tying the game with two outs in the ninth on an RBI single by Tom McBride and winning on a tenth inning home run by Rudy York. Stub appears in VG/EX condition with light wear. 3) 1948 World Series Game 3: Cleveland Municipal Stadium stub for Game 3 between the Boston Braves and the Cleveland Indians this game won by Cleveland 2-0. Apparent VG condition with some moderate fading to the background colors of the stub. Three stubs total.
