With the possible exception of Cal Ripken Jr. no player in the rich history of the Baltimore Orioles is more beloved than Brooks Robinson. His 23-year career was spent entirely with the team and this particular bat is one that was ordered and used during the final season of Robinson's Hall of Fame career. Measuring 35 inches in length and weighing 31.2 ounces the bat shows strong signs of use including several ball marks and stitch impressions visible on the barrel. The ball marks include white leather scuffs. Robinson's uniform number (5) is written on the knob in black marker. Robinson used the bat in his final season and signed and inscribed it to his friend Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Ted Patterson. The bat remained in Patterson's collection until being consigned to LOTG last year. A tremendous document of Robinson's final season as well as his relationship with Ted Patterson. Full LOA from John Taube at PSA/DNA.
