Large-format (33" x 23") color photo of the 1960 Boston Red Sox team featuring Ted Williams. This same photo was used as part of a massive display advertisement for Narragansett Beer (the original ad measured 4' x 3' and yes that's FEET). The phrase "YOUR RADIO AND TV HOST" is printed in the sky above the team members leading us to believe that this was also used as a display of some sort by a Boston-area radio or TV station. The overall appearance of the photo is strong and clean. However the size and weight of the cardboard proved too tempting as at some point during it's life an owner drew an elaborate gambling game board on the back. The photo itself displays very well but the gambling game reduces the technical grade to POOR. From the collection of Ted Patterson.
