Lot Description  

Strong and clean 1947-53 Spalding Official National League baseball signed by 12 members of the 1949 Chicago Cubs. The ball has been preserved with a light coating of shellac resulting in the signatures remaining bold and legible. Signatures include Dutch Leonard Gene Mauch Hal Jeffcoat Andy Pafko Emil Verban Hank Edwards Herman Reich Warren Hacker Rube Novotney Johnny Schmitz Rube Walker and Monk Dubiel.
