Grouping of four official Shibe Park programs from 1948-1951. Includes the following: 1) 1948 Program: Excellent condition carefully-scored program from the second game of a twinbill played on May 31 where the Athletics defeated the Red Sox 2-1 thanks tto a two-run sixth inning that inlude a bases loaded balk by Mickey Harris to bring in the winning run. 2) 1949 Program: Excellent condition program from an 8-7 extra inning win over the Yankees in the first game of a May 15 doubleheader with Sam Chapman's two home runs and 11th inning sac fly providing most of the Philadelphia offense. Pencil notations and a light fold are evident on the cover along with a very tiny edge tear at the top. 3) 1950 Program: Unscored for a game against the Detroit Tigers. VG/EX condition with some light folds beautiful cover graphics featuring Connie Mack's golden jubilee. Hall of Famers in the roster includeGeorge Kell and Hal Newhouser. 4) 1951 Program: Carefully-scored game from August 5 1951 against the Cleveland Indians the first game of a doubleheader won by Cleveland 6-3. Al Rosen homered for the tribe as Bob Lemon got his 12th win. VG/EX condition with some light staining along the bottom edge and wear at the spine. Four scorecards total.
