Spectacular cabinet photograph featuring Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson in formal clothes. Taken by photographer David B. Edminston the photo was until recently only dated to "1910s" (as indicated on the LOA from PSA/DNA) but a recently-sold autographed photo from the same session is dated 1913 likely dating the photo session to 1912 or perhaps early 1913. With its mount the photo measures 3 7/8" x 5 1/2" and appears in spectacular condition with some light wear at the edges and corners the letter "C" written in pencil at the upper-left of the reverse. The mount is clean the photo studio impront debossed in the cardboard at the bottom-center. The photo itself is truly outstanding a clear well-composed formal image of that young pitcher in his early 20s when the photo was taken and just ascending to his peak season of 1913 when he would post a 36-7 record with a miniscule ERA of 1.14. A wonderful example of the Big Train with full LOA from PSA/DNA.
