Outstanding program from a 1949 exhibition that pitted the three New York baseball teams against one another to honor Babe Ruth Lou Gehrig and Herb Pennock to benefit the Babe Ruth Memorial Foundation New York Heart Fund and Lou Gehrig Memorial Fund. Program is well-worn with several areas at the spine repaired with clear tape. Outstanding baseball content and advertising including an excellent 1949 Topps Gum ad. An interesting program not seen often for one of the many baseball exhibitions held in New York during the 1940s to raise funds for good causes.
