Outstanding official scorecard from the first-ever All-Star game at Yankee Stadium in 1939. The American League deafeated the Nationals 3-1 Joe DiMaggio hitting a home run for the AL in the contest. The game was loaded with future Hall of Famers including Ernie Lombardi Arky Vaughan Ducky Medwick Mel Ott Johnny Mize Red Ruffing Bill Dickey Hank Greenberg Joe Gordon Joe Cronin Joe DiMaggio Bob Feller Lefty Gomez Lefty Grove Ted Lyons Jimmie Foxx and Luke Appling along with home plate umpire Cal Hubbard and Lou Gehrig who was selected to the team but did not play. The American League portion of the game was scored in black ink the NL portion left blank with game score information noted in block lettering on the cover. Condition is GOOD with some mild toning the primary condition flaw related to lower-right corner issues (including some mild paper loss along with a tear along the top edge. Still an outstanding scorecard commemorating the very first All-Star game at the House that Ruth Built.
