Strong official Yankee Stadium World Series program for the 1926 contest between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals. The Series itself was won by the Cardinals in 7 games the final affair being an exciting 3-2 game that ended with Babe Ruth being caught stealing second with two outs in the bottom of the ninth with Bob Meusel at bat and Lou Gehrig on deck. This unscored program presents well but does exhibit considerable wear notably significant separation at the spine some of which was repaired with clear tape. Several north-to-south creases are visible from being folded or rolled and have long ago been flattened. Some staining is visible along the left edge along with age-related discoloration and soiling throughout. Still an attractive program featuring Hall of Famers Miller Huggins and Rogers Hornsby on the cover.
