Alice Denton Jennings was a famous palm reader who wrote the book "Your Hand Tells All: A Manual of Simplified Palmistry " which featured palm prints from notable celebrities. Jennings took palm prints of celebrities - each on her letterhead - as a part of a study that she conducted to determine whether the lines of the palm could reveal certain personality traits. Each subject provided a handprint and then autographed the bottom of the page on which it was applied - each of these pages have become highly collectible the Babe Ruth specimen selling at auction for nearly a quarter million dollars some time ago. Presented here is a wonderful example of Jenning's collection from Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis the first Commissioner of Baseball responsible for banishing Joe Jackson and others from the game in the wake of the 1919 Black Sox scandal. Landis' handprint is executed wonderfully centered perfectly on the page his signature applied perfectly (and uncharacteristically neatly) underneath. Though the paper does exhibit toning and staning throughout the presentation is outstanding nonetheless a few small notches at the edges and corners as well as some tiny tears and wrinkles throughout. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
