Index card signed in the lower-left corner by one of the key players in the 1919 World Series scandal Chick Gandil. Gandil received $35 000 for his role in throwing the series serving as the key contact with the gamblers who helped orchestrate the fix and pay the players. Gandil retired at the end of tthe 1919 season as owner Charles Comiskey would not raise Gandil's salary for the 1920 season playing semipro ball in California. The index card includes Gandil's name typed at the top (on both front and back) along with what may be a date (10-57) the date of his passing typed near the lowe-right corner. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA the signature carries a grade of MINT 9.
