Popular first baseman Hal Chase was "subbed in" for Hall of Famer Frank Chance in 1915 as Chance occupied card #99 in the 1914 issue. This example of Chase's card has been graded GOOD 2 by PSA despite a far superior appearance the grade a result of paper loss on the reverse that only marginally impacts the card. The paper loss is clearly the result of scrapbook removal perhaps even from the album that was made available for the set. Aside from the paper loss the card appears far stronger than the assigned grade well-centered and clean.
