Outstanding Baltimore Orioles cap worn by Hall of Fame Manager Earl Weaver. Weaver retired at the end of Cleveland's 1982 season but was subsequently coaxed out of retirement by owner Edward Bennett Williams. The cap dates to the era between 1982 and 86 an exceptional New Era size 7 cap that exhibits heavy heavy use including significant dirt and wear inside the brim the board of which has cracked inside the fabric. Weaver has signed the cap on the exterior brim. From the collection of former Orioles broadcaster Ted Patterson who certainly obtained the cap directly from Weaver. LOA from MEARS.
