This 12 1/2 x 8 1/2" uncut sheet of cards appears to be part of a 1970-71 campaign conducted by the Washington DC Department of Motor Vehicles to promote vehicular and traffic safety. Over the years the hobby has seen a number of the card sets and posters appear but uncut sheets of the cards are significantly less common.Highlighted by Denny McLain and Frank Howard the card designs feature crude black and white player photos with the player"s name and position typeset underneath. The reverse features a baseball-related traffic safety message (i.e. "Speed on the bases - you win! Speed on the streets - you lose!" or "I wait for my pitch in baseball - you wait for your light in traffic"). The cards are printed on a fairly flimsy pastel yellow card stock. The sheet is in approximately EX condition slightly worn at the edges and corners but with no perceptible creases or wrinkles.
