Gorgeous white buckskin leather glove is a scarce example with a crescent-padded palm. The crescent pad was a relatively short-lived innovation which in theory would enable the fielder to better cradle the baseball. Though popular for a few years the style fell out of favor and has thus become quite collectible due to its rarity. This is a full-sized glove likely a mid-line example in its day the manufacturer unknown. The number 13 is factory-stamped in the webbing (which remains firmly attached). The rare glove remains in strong condition with expected wear and tear and overall soiling from use with no holes tears ink writing or restoration. An outstanding piece of vintage equipment one of the more scarce of its kind.
