Outstanding full ticket to the May 25 1965 fight between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston in Lewiston Maine. A rematch of Cassius Clay's 1964 upset of Liston Clay had already taken the name Muhammad Ali which caused quite a bit of controversy in the boxing world. The fight included the controversial "phantom punch" that resulted in the iconic Sports Illustrated photo of Ali standing above Liston gesturing at him to get up. The fight was stopped by referee Jersey Joe Walcott at 2:12 in the first round one of the shortest heavyweight fights in history. The ticket has been graded NM-MT 8 by PSA a nearly perfect specimen with an outstanding presentation sharp corners and edges and clean registration. Muhammad Ali has signed the ticket near his image in black fiber-tip marker also authenticated by PSA/DNA. An outstanding piece a memento from one of the most controversial fights in history.
