Exceptional photo album attributed to Nat Strong dating roughly to 1907 featuring photographs of the Royal Ponciana Hotel and baseball team as well as some photos taken in Cuba. Many of the album's photos do not depict baseball scenes at all but those that do are quite attractive. The album measures approximately 7 1/2" x 5 1/4" and is bound with string. Considerable wear is noted at the spine a significant tear is evident (but not visible in the scan due to how the album lies on the scanner bed) alongside the string from the bottom edge more than halfway to the top. Each of the interior photos is protected by a thin sheet of onion skin descriptions of many of the photos are written in caption form in pencil underneath the photo. Sadly the players depicted in the album's four baseball are not identified. A "certificate of membership " roughly the size of a credit card is affixed to the inside back cover attributing ownership to Nat Strong in what may or may not be Strong's handwriting. An exceptional document of the Royal Ponciana baseball team and Strong's affiliation with it and Cuban baseball in general.
