Pair of paper prototypes produced by Topps to test different materials for what would become the 1977 Topps Cloth Stickers set. For whatever reason Topps chose Bob Apodaca and Duffy Dyer to test the materials. According to the Standard Catalog examples can be found on silk then felt textured felt and thick felt. Presented here are two uncut examples printed on what would better be described as thin paper along with what appears to be an uncut cotton-like sheet containing four of each card printed in full color directly on the cloth. The cloth has no backing; it is simply a loose sheet of thin cotton-like cloth measuring approximately 9 1/2" x 12" onto which four esamples each of Dyer and Apodaca have been printed. While we have seen the sticker prototypes before we have never seen anything like the cloth sheet an interesting example of Topps' many "tests" that never made it into the hobby.
