Attractive grouping of football tickets covering several interesting games. Collection includes: 1) November 19 1983 Harvard/Yale ticket stub: the 100th meeting between the two teams one of the older rivalries in sports. #20 ticket to the Yale Bowl in VG condition with moderate wear and a few small surface creases. 2) November 17 1984 Penn State vs. Notre Dame game picturing six Notre Dame Heisman Trophy winners: Angelo Bertelli Johny Lujack Leon Hart Lohn Lattner Paul Hornung and John Huarte. Full ticket is in VG condition with some slight paper loss at the perforations along with some mild surface creases at the bottom left corner. 3) Impressive clean 1958 ticket for a Canadian pro football game played in Philadelphia to benefit the children's hospital. Pitting teams from Hamilton and Ottawa against one another the attractive ticket art depicts a football player holding a small child with black and red typesetting. EX condition full ticket with very little wear beyond very slight corner softness. 4) 1945 Cotton Bowl Classic Military Ticket Stub: USO ticket for the 1945 Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day 1945. Issued only to an Armed Forces enlisted person the bearer was required to be in uniform or would be refused admission. Ticket stub is in VG condition stamped with a USO Club stamp some minor soiling and edge wear also evident. Some minor tearing of the backing paper is evident on the reverse. Still another historically important ticket issued during the closing year of the war. 5) 1974 Houston Texan Football Astrodome "Sneak Preview" Ticket: Exceptional 1974 ticket not to a football game but to a "sneak preview" of the Houston Astrodome. As part of the World Football League a fledgling league that would play in 1974 and part of 1975 a tean called the Houston Texans team was placed in Texas. The team's home stadium became the Astrodome. On June 29 of 1974 before the start of the season the team held a "sneak preview" before the July 10 Opening Day.
