Well-used season pass permitting one Will Grimsley access to Yankee Stadium for all 1950 Yankee games. Mr. Grimsley evidently took full advantage of the opportunity as the pass exhibits significant surface dirt and creasing throughout along with soft edges and corners. The 1950 Yankees swept the World Series from the Philadelphia Phillies; managed by Casey Stengel the team finished the season with a 98-56 record. Vic Raschi led the team with 21 victories while a young Whitey Ford contributed 9 wins in his first season. Offensively Joe DiMaggio batted .301 with 32 home runs and 122 runs batted in young catcher Yogi Berra hit .322 with 28 home runs and 124 RBI of his own. An outstanding season Mr. Grimsley was able to witness quite a bit of excellent baseball.
