Measuring 4" x 6" (not 3" x 5" as indicated in our catalog as we just call all index cards "three by five" cards the way some people call all tissues "Kleenex") powder blue card signed in bold black marker by singer Kate Smith. Smith is best known for her rendition of Irving Berlin's "God Bless America" which was played in ballparks nationwide after 9/11 during the 7th inning stretch. Smith who passed away in 1986 had her name embroiled in controversy earlier this year as it was discovered that Smith had several songs in her catalog that contained objectionable lyrics. As a result most teams have stopped playing her rendition of the Irving Berlin classic. Her name and voice however will always remain associated witih the baseball season at the end of the 2001 season. Basic Cert from James Spence Authentication.
