The Eagles and Cardinals met at Shibe Park in Philadelphia on December 19 1948 for the NFL Championship the 16th Title game in NFL history. This was the first televised NFL championship game and due to the heavy snow the grounds crew needed to enlist the assistance of the players in removing the tarp off the field which delayed the opening kickoff by half an hour. The game also known as the "Philly Blizzard " ended in a 7-0 Eagles victory the Eagles recovering a fourth quarter fumble that set up a Steve Van Buren touchdown run. The program exhibits areas of surface wear and a heavy vertical fold down the center that breaks the paper in spots. Edge wear is limited with spine wear more pronounced. Folding aside the interior pages are largely clean.
