Massive collection of real photo postcards apparently taken between the 1970s and 1990s each black and white photos printed on Kodak paper. Each postcard contains a black and white photo of a ballpark each taken from a variety of perspectives: from the parking lot from the grandstand from a distance from a hole in a wall from the concession stand from the field level. The parks run the gamut of sizes and styles and each has the ballpark and location written on the reverse. While some are major league parks some appear to be small local amateur or minor league fields and some may also be spring training. Several of the postcards are stamped with the name of longtime postcard collector and hobby pioneer Ray Medeiros who produced his own postcard sets and apparently had a large collection of ballpark photos. Each of the postcards measures approximately 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" an absolutely massive grouping and while it is difficult to ascertain for certain it appears that there are no or very few duplicates. A fascinating collection of real photo postcards with some type of connection to a hobby pioneer. More than 450 postcards total.
