On the day before Thanksgiving we received a letter in the mail from an astute collector that pointed out an error in this listing both on our part and on the part of PSA. Unlike our description and the PSA listing on the grading label this card is not actually a part of the 1936 Wide Pens issue but it is part of the R314C "Creamy" set issued in Canada some time between 1937 and 1939. Since it is never our intention to misinform or mislead the description of this card needs to be changed. When we were made aware of this issue there were 12 unique bidders on the card with two days until the auction closing. Given that the holiday is upon us and some bidders may not check their email between now and the auction close we have elected to withdraw this lot entirely rather than offer bidders the ability to cancel their bids. We will work with PSA to rectify the situation on this and on future cards have the card properly slabbed and re-list it in our Spring auction.
